I believe that you put a bit of yourself in everything you do. With a farming background, working with animals, working with your hands, keeping things simple, I found, for me, what matters most is family and friends and being happy with what you do. I've been a carpenter for over 25 years and enjoy doing custom carpentry the most. I've made some strange things, like a ship's wheel headboard to simple old lumber harvest tables. I love a challenge. The most important thing when doing any project is patience, to make things right the first time. I love old lumber because the feel, the look, the strength, in my opinion is just better. Each piece has a history and it is also environmentally friendly, which is very important to me.
